Bill Janklow controversy - liberal hypocrisy on parade
March 18, 2003
Ralph Nader and Joan Claybrook, dubbed "safety advocates" by the dominant liberal
media, are calling for Cong. Bill Janklow (R-SD) to resign from office and give up
his drivers license. For those not following the news, Mr. Janklow is reported to
have sped through a stop sign colliding with a motorcycle and killing the rider. In
most states this would warrant a prosecution for vehicular homicide or some similar
charge.
The hypocrisy from liberals like Nader and Claybrook is so loud that the Moose can not
remain silent. Liberals like Nader and Claybrook NEVER call for other liberals to held
accountable when THEY cause auto accidents and the deaths of others on the roads. Of
course the most notable case is Ted Kennedy and Chappaquiddick. Ted Kennedy should have
prosectued for vehicular homicide and abandoning the scene of the crime. That's usually
good enough for a decade sentence in the joint. It would have saved us from having Ted
Kennedy in office.
Obviously Janklow should be held accountable for his irresponsible driving and the deadly
consequences of his actions. The Moose would like to congratulate these liberals for once
getting it and calling for personal responsibility. The hypocrisy, however, speaks so much
louder. Liberals always want the rest of us to live by the rules while they break them.
